About

I’ve been an eLearning professional for more than twenty years and currently work at a UK Russell Group university, developing Master’s programmes for online and distance learning.
I like to think I know a thing or two about education in the digital space.
This blog is a place for me to record my thoughts, observations, and, at times, frustrations about my work. More than anything, it serves as an outlet for the various ideas that occupy my mind.
If you’ve stumbled across this site, I hope you find it interesting and gain some insight into online and distance education.
Some details about this website
This is a static website created entirely in Emacs Org Mode using “org-publish”. To create this site I largely followed this article, How to blog with Emacs Org mode by Sachin Patil on "opensource.com".
Of course, thanks to the lovely people at Nomagic who host this site and provide a large catalogue of services to give you control of your data.
In their own words:
Nomagic aims to be a trusted partner of your digital life.
To achieve this, we provide a large catalogue of services hosted on our servers.
We do not engage in data monetization whatsoever, and believe that people’s data and online activity should not be traded in any way.
